What is the aim of the Online Mental Health Community?

The aim of the Online Mental Health Community is to establish a community that connects people working on mental health issues worldwide in order to improve mental health care in Low and Middle-Income countries.

What can you do on the Online Mental Health Community?

By registering to the Online Mental Health Community you will be able to add information about organisations, projects, events and vacancies and you will have access to all information available on this site. Networks can be created connecting people doing comparable work to learn from each other’s successes and mistakes. Partners can be found in different corners of this world to work on Mental Health projects in low and middle-income countries together.

How can I add information?

• To add an organisation, go to ‘my organisation’ and click on add new organization.
• To add a network, go to ‘my networks’ and click on ass a new network.
• To add a project, go to ‘my projects’ and click on add new project.
• To add a vacancy, go to ‘my vacancies’ and click on add new vacancy
• To add an event, go to ‘my events’ and click on add new event.

How can I join an organisation or a network?

• If you would like to join an organisation, please go to ‘Search organisations’, click on the organisation you want to join, and click on the button ‘join as employee’ or ‘join as supporter’. Your request will be forwarded to the person who created the organisation.
• If you would like to join a network, please go to ‘Search networks’, click on the network you want to join and click on the button ‘join this network’. Your request will be forwarded to the person who created the network.

How can I search by expertise, theme or target group?

• An advanced search option is available making it possible to search individuals per area of expertise, to search a project per target group or to search an organisation per type.
•  When your registration is completed you can add information about yourself under My Profile. By selecting themes and target groups on the ‘expertise’ page, people will be able to find you using your expertise as search criterion.
• You can also connect detailed information to your project, organisation, network, event or vacancy.
• If you are looking for MH professional with a certain expertise (for example Community Mental Health) click on mh professional, click on advanced search, and select Community Mental Health as theme.
• In the same way you can search for detailed information about a project, organisation, network, event or vacancy.
